The Top 10 Most Watched Videos On Youtube In Malta Right Now 👀

In 2004 during the Super Bowl's half-time show, Justin Timberlake pulled off Janet Jackson's top during their performance together. After seeing it on TV, everyone wanted to see the video online again yet there weren't any sites that you could find it on. That's when the idea for Youtube, the world's largest video sharing platform, began.

A year later, Youtube was released and was so small that the co-founders were putting up ads offering to pay people to upload their videos to the site. Yet thanks to people uploading copyrighted videos (such as Lonely Island's Lazy Sunday which was eventually taken down) the site gained a lot of traction as videos now became easier to find online. In 2006, Youtube was bought by Google for $1.65 billion.

With hundreds of hours of content being uploaded daily (hourly actually), here are the top 10 videos being watched in Malta right now.

1. Testing if Sharks Can Smell a Drop of Blood

Ever thought to yourself, "I wonder if sharks can smell blood from a mile away? I'm gonna test that out." No, you haven't. Because you are a sane person who has better things to do than thinking about dangerous situations that will probably never be relevant to you. Ever.

2. Fortnite World Cup Finals - Day 3

Unless you have been living under a rock, then you probably know who won the Fortnite World Cup (read this if you don't), so you won't really need to watch the whole stream. That and it's 5 hours long sooooooo...

3. Movie Sequels

Everyone knows that the current state of the media industry is in a bit of a shambles. With sequels coming out left and right, this 9-minute animated video makes light of the situation as he goes on a rant about animated trilogies (and how Penguins of Madagascar is an underrated hidden gem).

4. Bass Fishing Battle | Dude Perfect

Dude Perfect started off with their weird and fun trick shot videos and have now branched out into other types of content (usually sports-related). They go fishing and subsequently catch fish, the title sort of says it all.

5. 2019 German Grand Prix: Race Highlights

With Formula 1 gaining traction in Malta, it is becoming more and more common to see their highlights on Youtube. After last Sunday's race, it's no surprise that this video is 5th right now considering it was the first wet race of the season, defining the expression "shit hitting the fan." (Seriously though, the race was awesome and the highlights don't do it justice)

6. Am I Getting Fired?! Lele Pons, Rudy Mancuso, Hannah Stocking & Anwar Jibawi

These guys are usually somewhere in the top 10 trending on Youtube which kind of says a lot about us. While their humour and style can be described as unique and niche, it seems that they are the norm for what people like in Malta. (Funnily enough, it resembles Maltese comedy quite a bit).

If you've ever seen The Chase (which you should because that show is awesome) then you'll know what this video is about. If you don't, then go watch a couple of episodes and then watch this, it's quite a good format and spin on the regular quiz show format. And the Chaser's are super funny when they say their stupid puns and jokes.

8. DMing Celebrities To Pick My Makeup

James Charles asks famous people to pick out his make-up. While this may not be the first time James Charles has messaged straight boys, this could be the first time their conversation was about his makeup. Also, is it just me, but all I can hear is James Charles singing when I see him. Woop woop woop.

9. FOOD that LOOKS like OTHER FOOD !

She vlogs about food that looks like other food. That's sort of it really. Enjoy.

While a lot of people may not like Sidemen, dressing up in cow onesies and mooing in the street is quite a funny concept. Maybe not 12 and a half minutes funny, but funny none the less. The fact that they have 2 videos in the top 10 moo's a lot (the moo pun really wasn't good, sorry).
