The JAYE Awards! Here Are All The Fantastic Winners For The 2021 Student Competition 🥳




The Time Has Arrived!

The much anticipated JAYE Awards have come and gone, and a number of highly talented young teams have been recognised for their hard work.


The following is a full breakdown of every award that was given out...



The JAYE Malta Company Programme Awards



The JAYE Malta Company Programme (ages 16 - 18) offers post-secondary students the opportunity to take a business idea, formulate it and make it a reality over the course of 1 academic year; all in a framework of an inter-organisational network of youths.


Deloitte Best Business Plan Award - This award was given out by Deloitte, to the company with the best business planning.


The winners were Unlimited.



Atlas Digital Marketing Innovation Award - This award was given out by Atlas, to the company that showed the most unique and fresh approach to their online marketing.


Candid won this award.

Farsons Ready for Work Award - This award was given out by Farsons, to the company that has best built work-readiness skills during the competition.

Mycro Pixel Studio won this one.


EFQ Quality Excellence Award - This award was given out by EFQ to the company that demonstrated the best understanding of assessing and achieving quality standards in their products, planning , quality controls and improvements.


The winners were Unlimited.



Chamber of Commerce Membership Award - A one-year free membership to the Junior Chamber given by The Malta Chamber to the Company of the Year.


Candid won this award.



Company Of The Year Award - This award was given to the best overall business, encompassing a variety of aspects into one all-inclusive award - the winners for this prestigious title were Candid.

The JAYE Start-Up Programme Awards



The JAYE Start-Up Programme (aged 19 – 30) is the most recent programme in the JAYE Malta series of entrepreneurship education programmes offered.


Launched in 2014, it sets up tertiary education students for their own foray into the world of start-ups by preparing them to pitch their own business concept to potential investors.


Chamber of Commerce Membership Award - A one-year free membership to the Junior Chamber given by The Malta Chamber to the StartUp of the Year.


The winners for this award were Silentsave.


PwC Concept Validation Award - This award was given out by PwC, to the start-up with the best vision and overall startup structure based on the teams’ first presentation in February.


The winners for this award were Silentsave.


Tech.Mt Digital Innovation Award - This award was given out by Tech.Mt, to the start-up which was best able to put their digital skills to practice to conceive an innovative business idea or concept.


The winners for this award were alsp Silentsave.

The Enterprise Ministry Sustainability Award - The Sustainable Solutions Award recognizes the team which incorporated sustainability strategies and practices aimed at environmental and social progress that creates positive community impact into their business practices.


The award was won by Unpuzzling Food.


Switch Take Me To Market Award - One of the teams took the initiative to strive to test their ability to pitch the idea behind their brand in relation to their market with the support of Switch. After pitching their brand to the Switch team SilentSave was selected as the winner of this award.


The winners for this award were Silentsave.


Public Vote Award - This was an award that was completely chosen by the general public, it was their choice to choose their favourite start-ups amongst all the competitors.


The winners were...Silentsave!


StartUp of the Year Award - It seems that JAYE's opinion very much resembles public opinion on this one, as you guessed it, Silentsave won this award too!





JAYE John Harper Award - This award recognises an individual that has shown unflagging support of JAYE, its activities, and its mission.


The winner was Glenn Bugeja.

JAYE Philip Bonnet Award for Perseverance - The Philip bonnet award acknowledges those who have shown a distinctive practice of perseverance through their experience.


The winners were Flo-Pot.

A huge congrats goes out to all the above winners for their consistent hard work and dedication in their respective fields. Also, props to those teams that didn't win an award, take this experience as a learning lesson and be motivated to move forward!
