NEW MEASURES 🚨 Bars In Malta To Close Until 1st Dec + Public Gatherings Limited To 6 People 🍺 🦠
Stronger Measures As From This Thursday 👮♀️...
Bars to close & a new smaller group limit are the new measures being imposed to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Surprise Announcement From Health Ministry 👀
The Health Ministry has issued a statement that bars will close until 1st of December as from this Thursday in a bid to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Snack bars & kiosks will be allowed to keep open if they serve food, though they will still have to close at 11pm.
Social gatherings are now limited to groups of just 6 people, including in queues and at bus stops. This limit does not apply when proper social distancing of 2m between each person is being observed.
Individuals who are found to be not complying with these new group regulations will be fined €200, which will be cut down to just €100 if paid immediately.
These new measures come after consultation with the Superintendent for Public Health on how best to slow down the spread of COVID-19 following the massive surge in cases Malta has seen this month.
