MITA Launches Pre-Accelerator To Help Kickstart Student Ideas ⚡️ - Applications NOW OPEN 😎

The MITA YouStartIT Validator is a pre-accelerator programme designed to help startup founders improve and validate their idea.

Up to 10 startup projects can be selected to participate in this programme. From this batch, up to 4 startups will then be chosen to join the acceleration phase - which puts you in the running to receive a pre-seed grant of up to €30,000 to continue your project.

Who Should Apply? 🤔

Firstly, your team should have at least 2 founders, and ideally, your project/s should still be in the 'idea' stage. At least one of the founders should have a technical background, and your startup should be able and ready to enter the YouStartIT accelerator programme if chosen.

What Ideas Are MITA Looking For? 👀

Times of great change are also times of great opportunity. While Coronavirus is threatening jobs & disrupting business, it's also increasing demand for the digitisation of certain sectors.

Sectors like healthcare, transport, retail, commerce, catering & real estate are all great places to aim creative problem-solving solutions towards.

So, MITA are looking for startups to do just that, adapt in a new situation & solve problems for people that are struggling.

The 2020 Programme 👨‍💻

This year’s programme will be run completely online through eLearning. The first step is to complete a Design Thinking Course.

Next, the Validator Programme. This consists of 8 sessions over 4 weeks, ending with a 2-day boot camp at the end of which participating teams will pitch their project to be selected for YouStartIT#6, starting in September 2020.

Sessions will be held twice a week and each session will last 1.5hrs. Topics covered during the core Validator programme are listed in the table below.
