Malta’s Got Talent Filming Postponed & Earth Garden Event Cancelled Amid Spikes In COVID Cases 😔
Too Many Cancellations 💔
While all these parties and events being cancelled is obviously a good thing, with regards to maintaining public health and all, it does feel a lil heartbreaking to be locked inside again 😟
Got Talent? Don't Show It Yet 😷
Remember X-Factor Malta? They've now rebranded to Malta's Got Talent. Which means that this year, there won't just be singers racing for that elusive golden buzzer, in fact the Got Talent team say they're looking for “the crazy, the out-of-this-world and the incredible”.
Unfortunately for fans though, filming for the highly-anticipated show has been postponed by “a couple of weeks” as a result of the new COVID-19 measures regarding mass-gatherings.
This means that auditions will have to be filmed at a later date. If this is the last time things get switched up, the show has hinted that the official TV premiere will be in October.
The Garden Is Closed 😭
“With a heavy heart, we will have to postpone,” announced Howard Keith Debono, revealing that the Earth Garden Gathering which was set to go down on 7th September at Gianpula has been officially cancelled.
After the original 3-day Earth Garden festival was cancelled earlier in the summer, due to Malta’s first wave of Coronavirus cases, the event had been adapted to a day fling in September…
Unfortunately, with fresh cases being registered daily, this won't be possible.
“It simply wasn’t meant to be,” the organiser continued. “All tickets will be automatically refunded – Let’s hope to see you next year for the Earth Garden Festival!”
