Malta's Covid-19 Death Toll Rises Again, Now Totalling 74 Deaths 📈

Even with the new restrictions, Covid is still taking a toll on our island, with three deaths being recorded over the last few of days. This increased death rate has come alongside a continued spiking in case numbers...
Rest In Peace 💙
Two COVID-19 patients died at Mater Dei overnight on the 5th of November, and another passed away yesterday on the 6th of November. With deaths on the rise, concerns continue to grow as ages of death creep lower 😔
The first case was a 75-year-old man who tested positive on October 14th, later passing away in the ICU.
The second case was a 90-year-old woman, who was admitted to Mater Dei on the 31st October and tested positive that same day, passing away on the 5th of November.
The most recent case was a 59-year-old man, who tested positive on October 24th - he passed on the 6th at Mater-Dei. This marked the 74th Covid death in Malta.
Current Trends In Deaths 📈
Though the higher age range still seems to be those affected, it's starting to become middle-aged adults too (59-years-old). On top of this, the increase in deaths over the last 3 days has been a large spike - but more are expected to come with the increase in cases 😷
